Editing Active Sessions in Lumio
Dear Development Team,
I'm very pleased with the progress you've made in Lumio, especially the new feature that allows assigning sessions to specific student groups more easily.
However, a key feature has unfortunately been lost in the process: the ability to edit sessions that are already in progress—such as by adding new slides or activities. This flexibility was extremely valuable in everyday teaching, particularly when I needed to adapt a session spontaneously to better support my students’ learning needs.
In the new session system, this is no longer possible, since active sessions are now – understandably – separated from the original slides. However, this limitation makes it difficult to respond to evolving classroom situations. In many of my new sessions, I regularly add learning activities or upload new materials during the process. Previously, such additions were instantly available to all students within the live session.
I would therefore like to suggest that when editing the original slide deck, users should be given the option to apply those updates to one or more existing sessions. Ideally, one could select which sessions should be updated accordingly.
Alternatively, it should be possible to place active sessions into an editing mode, in which all available resources (e.g. from the library or via upload) can be added or modified. If needed, an updated session could also be used to revise the original slide set.
Thank you very much for your attention, and I wish you continued success with the development of Lumio!
Best regards,
Daniel Lonkowski
