I thought I was being picky when I first saw the toolbar and hated the blue-grey look to it. After reading the other comments, I think my reaction is universal. Color helps people with identification and helps students when they have to find items on the toolbar.

There is no need to upgrade all the "old". Colors belong to life. Older icons were richer and clearer. Can they recover? Please.

Teachers and students will not like the new toolbar, in my opinion. The color helps students and teacher to recognize.

At a quick glance, it appears to be a "cleaner" look, but, in my opinion, the monotone coloring of the icons doesn't make it quite as easy to find the desired feature. I'm sure we'll get used to it, but it didn't seem necessary to make this change.

While it does give Notebook a new look it is not something that I thought was necessary. Teachers all over the world have gotten accustomed to the toolbar and were comfortable using it. Now it takes longer to think about what it actually is that I'm looking for and clicking on.

I probably wouldn't change the icon layout just yet, being that many of them just became familiar with the previous one. With teachers schedules being so strained it is often hard for them to find the time to adjust to new software and layouts and will often choose to not even use the software if it changes too often.

I prefer the more colorful toolbar from previous versions. The monotone version makes it harder to locate tools quickly.

I was used to the old looks - and liked them.
I´m still not "friends" with the new LAB-icon & now you´re challenging me again....
I know I will get over it & the most important thing is that everything works just fine...But as far as I´m concerned, you should´ve left everything as it was with the icons! -

I'd say: Never change a winning team! Teachers all over the world just got used to the look of the toolbar icons of Notebook 14. They knew where to find what. There was no necessety at all to change the look! It leads to confusion more than it probably simplyfies the usage of SMART Notebook.

I like the previous version much better, so it will definitely take me some time to get used to this. I really don't care for the fact that all of the icons are the same color, and that once you open the adaptive toolbar, the colors change. Also, since we are well into the 21st century, isn't it about time to get rid of the floppy disc to save the files? I know plenty of other applications use the same icon for saving, but how about an arrow pointing downward or something else?

These are going to take some time to get use to. I can say first impression wise not a huge fan of the changes. Looks to staril. In my opinion these look like incomplete icons, like they are waiting t be colored or something. Again after using this a few times I probably won't notice the difference anymore. But at first look not the biggest fan. Now I like some of the icon changes in terms of representation. The global for browser, the new concept mapping icon has more meaning.

It has been at least 8 years with the colorful icons, (change is good). The modern look is snazzy, crisp and clean, gives the whole interface a different feel and look. I like the world instead of the screen for the browser. I like the response time, when I click on an icon there is immediate response. I like how all the tools and actions are right on the toolbar or properties are viewed instantly.
