Splitscreen bei SBID 7086R
Splitscreen, sodass man zwei Dinge gleichzeitig an der Tafel anschauen kann z.B. Kamera und Whiteboard.
1 voteUpon further investigation, split screen is not a feature that can be enabled on the SMART Board 7000R series display due to limitations of the hardware platform.
These displays may be upgraded using an AM60 OPS appliance to enable the latest features, including split screen, available in iQ4. Additional information can be found here: https://www.smarttech.com/education/products/accessories/smart-computing-modules

Please allow customers to order replacement logic boards
Please allow customers to order replacement logic boards for SMART Boards, even if it requires a swap of the defective part. We have a SMART Board that has a broken HDMI port, and SMART Tech support has said there is nothing that can be done except to contact our reseller, and our reseller says there is nothing they can do.
3 votesUnfortunately, the internals of existing SMART Boards are not end user replaceable. There are no replacement parts available.
We're looking at making future SMART Boards more modular to address these scenarios.

internet connection quality / speed
Dear Team,
Our Smart SBID-7075R-P can connect to the internet but the speed of the connection is very bad. In the same room other devices can communicate without this problem, through WiFi or cable.
Ping is high, upload and download speed are very low on Smart.
We have tested the cables, the original antennas, the position of the board, but the results were similar in all cases. The Ubiquity WiFi AP is in the same room.We would like to use the WiFi basically - is there any option to speed it up?
2 votesI'm sorry you're having network bandwidth issues with your display. As there are many factors that may contribute to slow network speed, the quickest way to resolve this is to contract SMART Support here: https://www.smarttech.com/connect-with-smart/contact-support. They will be able to walk through with you troubleshooting steps to diagnose this.

Remote Management GX Series Settings
After contacting support we found out that the SMART GX Series boards do not support deployment of certificates or Wi-Fi profiles via SMART Remote Management.
These settings can be added manually to the boards, but seriously limits the usefulness of SMART Remote Management not being able to deploy them remotely to GX Series boards.
Can this be considered for functionality to be added in future please.

Hello:
Please note this is not a limitation of SMART remote management, but rather, a tightening of security controls introduced in Android 9. Android 9 (and newer) does not allow Certificates to be inherited by remotely deploying them.
We appreciate how unfortunate this is, however, it is a limitation of the OS, not SMART Remote Management.

SMART Sign-in Issue
Signing into the SMART account using Google Authentication does not persist the authentication session to the browser and other apps, so that requires the user to log in a second time. Then, if they want to use a Microsoft App, say PowerPoint on the board, then they have to authenticate a third time. Board authentication has to be reworked by someone who has knowledge and the workflow of system administration.
1 voteUnfortunately, this duplicate sign in behavior is a security requirement that is mandated by Google or Microsoft. This is to ensure that users are authenticated when accessing apps and services provided by different companies.

Connecting external grapich tablet
It Would be great if there was a way to connect a third part graphic tablet like a wacom via HDMI to the Smart panel. It's strange that Smart doesn't have this option. does any developer have any solution on this? it's possible to modify the Smart Android operating system?
1 voteCertain Wacom tablet models can be connected to any Android device including a SMART Board. This is typically accomplished via a USB connection or wirelessly via Bluetooth.
Contact your tablet manufacturer for confirmation that their products support Android devices, and connection instructions. Some tablets may require an additional Android application to be installed that is provided by the tablet manufacturer.

Slides Presentation Option
We would like to have the option of opening Slides in editing or presentation mode by default. The current OS will only allow presentation mode, but not all of us use the board this way. It's annoying to have to open each Slide in the desktop site every time I want to make the slightest change or have students manipulate objects.
1 voteThanks for your feedback.
We have provided this feedback to Google, as they are the developers of this app. I sincerely hope they make this change in an upcoming release of Slides.

Disable Buttons MX V2
Would like a way to disable the front buttons on the MX V2. Similiar to how it works somewhat with the older 6000 series displays. Where the touch buttons can be deactivated.
7 votesAfter investigating this idea, unfortunately, this will not be possible on the MX-V2 displays due to certain hardware limitations.

Hello All.
I would like to ask if it is possible to set the default input on the display of the 7000 series version 1. For version 2, the default input from the SETTINGS in the SYSTEM tab is set. For version 1, this tab is not available.
Thanks
2 votesUnfortunately, after further investigation, it is not technically possible to set the default input on SMART Board 7000 series displays. This is a capability that was added specifically for V2 or newer generation SMART displays.

Noisy pen tip
Noisy pen tip , if possible , change the tip of the pen, for many customers the sound of the pen on the screen is very annoying

Many factors go into the design of the pen tip including both aesthetic and technological requirements.
Our latest boards do have slightly different tips which should result in a quieter experience.

AM30
We are having issues with the AM30 boxes that we have installed on the SMARTBOARD 7000 series.
The boxes have video inputs for HDMI and USB.
When document cameras are plugged into the HDMI port on the AM30, the image is pixelated and red and black lights all over the screen.
When the computer is plugged into the HDMI, the image is split horizontally and flashes.
When a student walks by the screen with the AM30 plugged into it, it turns itself back on... or randomly at night it turns itself on.
Anyone have clues on how to fix this?
