Some problems with legacy vs new
I think you responded to us by allowing a way to clean up all of our slides, removing all of our hand written content ... but ... your method of doing so is by creating a new file with a new link. That causes other problems, first I need to get back into the google classroom assignment and change the link on every single assignment. Second, now I have a whole new page from you on all these new files being created. I don't want the "class sessions" page at all - give it a month and it is going to be a mess. Third, it now takes the program noticeable time to open the program, time that I want to get class going. Fourth, it doesn't always clean the handwriting off slides!
If I don't have students adding content to the pages, I have no need to create an entirely new file. Upper level math students find it awkward to interact with pages unless they are on a personal computer with touchscreen, I have experimented but it is honestly easier for them to do the work on paper and send me a screenshot (in google classroom not in lumio). Therefore, I just want a way to refresh and clean off my marks from last year WITHOUT creating a new copy, which adds other steps I didn't need in the past.
Also the legacy vs new doesn't work cleanly. It's adding files. It's added a whole new page of "what sessions I started today" so it's more steps to get back to my library to open the next class. You seem to be letting people choose a preference, but then it gets stuck in that preference. I have also noticed it doesn't always clean off my writing - so I'm still in limbo with maybe it will and maybe it won't.
What I want is a clean easy button to clean up the file and keep it in place. I don't want it renamed or moved. I don't want to have to change my google classroom links every time. I don't want to have to find the session in a different page than the library (which I have organized in a way I like, not as a time stamp). I don't want to worry about if it's in legacy mode or new mode.
You made something that could have been a simple button added to a dropdown way too complicated and not user friendly.
