provide feedback without students editing
I work with about 100 4th graders and only use Lumio asynchronously. I have them record a short passage and answer comprehension questions weekly. I would like a way to end the activity but allow students to see feedback I currently have them turn in a paper with their answers and I provide feedback on their paper regarding their fluency and comprehension. I would like to avoid the paper part. I also don't want them altering their work attempts. I want the students to see progress and growth over time.

I only use Lumio asynchronously with students. They record themselves reading a passage and I listen and provide feedback on their fluency. I would like a way for them to see my feedback digitally without them making edits so that I don't need to print papers.

Agreed. Some of the activities don't keep a record of feedback, so we would have to be careful with the activity we select. Editing and locking the edit feature make something final, particularly if we want some work to be done only during class time. The teacher should have the ability to turn off the edit feature so that the teacher can give feedback and allow students to students to see it with or without the ability to edit it. If a teaher was to use this for a grade, they may want to show students feedback but not let them edit or alter their work after the student has selected DONE.

Allow teacher to lock live lessons so that students can see teacher feedback but not edit. Keep a copy of the student work in Google Drive.

I'd like students to be able to easily VIEW their work later. When I use the "share with students" link, it allows students to edit their previous work even though I've "ended" the session. I don't want students to be able to edit their work after I've ended the session. I want them to only be able to VIEW it and be able to access this non-editable work at a later date.

Other than taking a screen shot and sending it back to a student, can you add some comprehensive ways to share student feedback and ideas when a workspace or handout is closed. It would be great to be able to have students see their teacher's thoughts with their work after the fact.
