I was curious if smart was able to create an electronic portfolio via Lumio. Students sign in with their school email to complete a range of Lumio activities from Math and English to digital art. Currently there doesn’t appear to be a way where teachers can export individual/collaborative handout activities. I really avoid paper as much as possible especially with a toner shortage. I’m wondering if there is a way where I can have students names on the board>>>Click on a student’s name>> all individual and collaborative handouts a student has completed are visible. The appealing point for Lumio could be the ease it would make conferences. Eliminating the teachers need to collect student work, but still being able to collect student data. Even during report cards, I can click on the students name>>>find all of their completed work>>> fill in assessment data directly into powerschool. Please let me know if this is a possibility in the future as I do believe it would be highly beneficial. Having every student’s work in one Lumio file may cause storage problems/file size issues, but maybe there is a way around this? Additionally even further down the road, would it be possible for parents to have a link where they can access their child’s digital portfolio? This in turn would allow parents to access students work at any point to monitor progress.
