PLEASE- this comment has been on here for over 4 years! My staff is asking to embed from their own websites and not just youtube.

I would like to be able to add questions to a YouTube video right on the side the YT video is embedded on. Seems like this should already be a feature in Lumio, but I am not finding where I can add the video and add questions. Am I missing where it is located? Getting my Secondary teachers to move over to Lumio is going to be a hard sell, if I can't get a basic questioning feature built in here. Something similar to EdPuzzle. Even Google Classroom and YT itself has questioning, but being able to do it all in ONE platform would be ideal.

I would like to have the following features in Lumio:

-a possibility to create interactive videos (Interactive video allows teachers to embed formative assessments at predetermined stopping points in a video. Teachers can embed a Multiple-Choice Question or Open-Ended Question in any video they add from YouTube.)

-super cool Virtual Reality field trips (VR field trips allow you to take your students anywhere in the world, without leaving their seat)

-super cool 3D models (Teachers can provide an eye-catching hook at the beginning of a lesson or add depth to a lesson by reinforcing the main concept.)

-a possibility to add Open-Ended Questions to the lessons for students to respond with a written or audio response.

I use Edpuzzle as Nearpod, even with paid versions, do not support the number of students I have (HE). Edpuzzle also is limited to 20 videos. There is no way that an institutional license will be bought as these are not features for everyone's use. I would be happy to pay as an individual, but there is no paid version of Edpuzzle. If Lumio develops this feature, this would be great and my colleagues will be happy to use as well. Students really respond well to interactivity via videos.

This would be a very valuable feature for teachers who want to show videos but also raise student accountability. This would definitely make Lumio stand out over Nearpod.

That is a great feature request. As a trainer who is training educators on Lumio, that feature/question comes up often. I think adding such a feature would definitely be a stand out feature against your competition! Also, it would ensure a higher level of users for the Lumio product....Which I love! Thank you in advance for considering the feature request. This is one I would definitely love to see happen!

I couldn't agree more. Lumio beats Nearpod on gamification already. I think interactive video questions would make Lumio nearly perfect.

Teachers need to be able to insert guided questions at stopping points throughout ready-made videos or those they have created on their own. EdPuzzle and Nearpod both allow this and it's a game-changer for blended learning. Also, check out the Modern Classrooms Project.org to see how these videos allow teachers to assist other students while the majority are using self-paced videos. If I were to ever go back into the classroom, I would teach that way!

The ability to embed videos - other than youtube - and pause - post questions and resume.
Have students work independently through the activity and record results.

Allow for EdPuzzle to be fully integrated into the lesson. That way you can add a lesson within a lesson by adding videos with questions imbedded into it.

I have videos that I would like to ask questions at different points throughout the video rather than saving all the questions for the end. This is an option that I have seen on other platforms, and I think it would be incredibly helpful.
