SMART Mirror : Virtual Extended desktop
SMART Mirror application currently only supports screen duplication (mirroring). Our teachers rely heavily on the ability to use the interactive display as an extended second monitor (Extended desktop)
When brought up in a ticket and was told this "I can confirm that SMART Mirror should support sharing an extended desktop were it already available on the source computer."
The previous Bytello Share system had an option of using the smartboard as the 2nd monitor when casting to the board on the V2 & V3 Models

I wanted to ask if it's possible to restore or re-enable SMART Screen Share on the SMART Board in my classroom, or to revert the recent update that replaced it with SMART Mirror.
The previous SMART Screen Share workflow was much more effective for classroom instruction. I could connect directly to the board using its IP address, disconnect temporarily when I needed to access confidential information (such as grades or student records), and reconnect almost instantly.
With SMART Mirror, reconnecting requires starting a new presentation session, making the process much less efficient during instruction. Because I frequently switch between PowerPoint, web resources, Google Classroom, and other applications while teaching, this change has significantly disrupted my classroom workflow.
If reverting to SMART Screen Share is not possible, is there a setting that allows:
Persistent teacher connections
Reconnection without starting a new session
A pause or temporary hide feature while remaining connectedIf SMART Screen Share is no longer supported due to the current firmware, I'd appreciate knowing whether there are any recommended alternatives for teachers who present from the same classroom every day.
Thank you for your help.
