The ability to go back and forth from SMART NOTEBOOK to SMART Learning Suite
There is no function to go back and forth with the same lesson in SMART NOTEBOOK or Learning Suite. If create a lesson in one, it does not show up in the other. SMART NOTEBOOK has so many new features but Learning suite is easier for students interactions.

Page setup
Change the page size (papersize) and orientation of the page. Currently, Notebook pages only present a 8.5x11 page in Portrait view. With new boards and displays being 16:9 aspect ratio, this causes some viewing issues that could be easier to resolve with the ability to rotate the page to better fit the wide view. It would also make for printing on 11x17 papers for our visually impaired students much easier on them.

A better Paste Feature.
There are a couple of things that would make Notebook's paste better. (I use the mac version.)
When I copy something using screen capture and paste it into notebook it is ALWAYS at a lower resolution EVEN though my setting is to NEVER change the resolution of inserted images.
When it does paste I should be able to right-click it and type in the dimensions I want. Having to drag the corner to make it the exact size you need is tiresome.

Equation Editor
It would be great if I could insert an equation right in the text. If I want to insert an equation in a paragraph I have to leave space, open the equation tool, type it in then resize to fit.
It would be great if there was a size option for the equation tool. When adjusting the equation and I click to insert the size increases and I have to resize.
The text that is used to write the equation is not what it use to be. It is distorted and looks nothing like an equation editor math equation.

Font Changes
I am a Kindergarten teacher. I am trying to use the activities feature and share activities to our iPads. It is helpful for my young learners to have a font that looks like the letters they are learning. The font that appears when I type in text does not allow the letters I, g and a to look like the letters they are learning. Please allow us to choose a font or make a different font the default. Thank you!

Please let the user customize default values for pen width and text size.
It's annoying to have to change pen thickness many times. Same goes for text size. In general, give the user much more customizability and control. We have no options right now.

random group generator
since flash is no longer supported on SMART notebook 18.0, we need a replacement random group generator within SMART; it was an extremely useful tool that is very dearly missed!

PLEASE bring back the Flash-supported pages!
I have countless hours invested in creating activities that are integral to my lessons. POOF! All gone with an (accidental) update. At least make them compatible with the new version. At least provide similar options. The new options aren't nearly as good.

Voice overs in LAB activities
It would be great for teachers to be able to record in the LAB activities.
Say in Match it up, students can click in the corner of one of the match it up icons and it reads the word or letter (if there is a recording) Same in SMART response, the teacher can voice of over the question and students who need it can click an icon and the teachers voice reads the question.8 votes -
Compass, Background/grid
Dear Team,
One teacher is maths needs to mark the centre of the circle, radius values on compass as in Activinpire.
Also they need to customise the grid customised same as in activinspire, four lines, two lines etc.(background)
Also actions to be hidden as in Activsinpire

"Mask" vs.Crop
The "mask" feature is inefficient. It launches in the center at a small size when it would be much better if it launched at the edges of the image. Both the mask frame and the actual image can be moved, which is frustrating.
Why not just make it a cropping feature like everyone is used to??

Crop feature
Why is there still no crop feature for photos in Notebook? This is a basic feature, and is incredibly limiting while using Notebook.
It's another one of the major limitations of Notebook that make me turn to other apps.

Random tools
I miss the RANDOM TOOL animations. I teach English and I have been using Notebook since 2006. I have made loads of Random Pictures files. They are great for introducing vocabulary and checking that is is memorised. I also use the RANDOM letters and RANDOM numbers a lot.

Support for newer Ubuntu-Distributions
We need updates for the Linux-Version!
With Ubuntu 16.04 reaching EOL in the near future, we need an update for the Linux-Packages to be able to install them on 18.04 or even 20.04. We don't need the features from the newer Versions, we just need official support for Version 11 for newer Ubuntu Distros. Without it, schools here in Europe trying to teach using Linux need to buy more PCs and Windows Licences just for using the Smartboards they already own, which is money that could very well be spend in more important areas.
