The software does provide zoom and pan capabilities, but perhaps the interface was not immediately clear. If you are using the software on a SMART Board, you should be able to use pinch and zoom gestures to zoom in and out of the whiteboard. Does this work for you? If you are using the software on a laptop, you should see zooming controls in the bottom left corner of your screen close to the up/down arrows. Shout It Out is a whole class discussion activity, and Monster Quiz is a competitive quiz-based activity similar to Kahoot. We will look into adding more activities in the future.

You should be able to open Notebook lessons created with any version of Notebook in SMART Learning Suite Online, but note that some content may not be supported like old SMART Response questions, Flash activities, and etc. We will be continually improving our content support, but things like Flash are deprecated due to the state of Flash in general. One nice thing about SMART Learning Suite online is that if you are using our new features like SMART lab activities, you will always have the most up to date support for new activities and themes.

We support a number of browsers, as for recommended, it would be the latest versions of Safari, Safari (iOS), Chrome, IE/Edge, and Firefox.

Currently, we only support displaying full page videos, so if you have a video on the page it will hide all the other objects. We are looking into having videos and other content show up side by side. As for the student-side behaviour, when a student joins a lesson, he/she gets a copy of the lesson at that moment. Live synchronized annotations are not supported right now because it's assumed that students will still pay attention to the front of room display or board for annotations made by the teacher. The student's copy of the lesson is mainly to provide reference and the ability for them to complete their own copy of any activities embedded in the lesson. Please let us know your desired workflow so we can look into supporting it in the future.

I can't see any of the lessons that I have uploaded to the SMART Learning Suite Online. Why is that?

Hi, based on your screenshot, it looks like you installed the Tech Trial for the 17 release, which expired in May 2017. Please uninstall the tech trial, and install the version that can be found at our website: https://home.smarttech.com/
