SMART iQ™ 3.8 app store improvements
The new SMART iQ™ 3.8 app store should just provide apps which are really useful to be installed on a SMART Board® interactive display. I've tried to install the screen record app provided in the SMART iQ™ 3.8 app store, but this app had been designed obviously only for smartphones. So when starting the app it goes visually in landscape mode (so you have to do the George Clooney look and put your head to one side), BUT the app is responding to touch events still in portrait mode. The result is that you can't press the buttons of the app because you will miss the right spot. This shouldn't happen with apps listed in the official SMART iQ™ 3.8 app store.
In addition to that, the also in the official SMART iQ™ 3.8 app store listed Microsoft Teams app doesn't support any video camera input in conference calls (the video preview stays black). If I'm using a USB video camera like Logitech C920 or the SMART Document Camera™ SDC-650 they will work great in the SMART camera app, in the Zoom app etc., but not in the Microsoft Teams app. Again, users are expecting these apps to be tested by SMART before.
Also, the previously in SMART iQ™ 3.7 available apps like SMART Document Camera™ 650 app for Android or the Zoom app for Android are not part of the latest SMART iQ™ 3.8 app store. Why is that? They will still work with SMART iQ™ 3.8, but I can only install them via SMART Remote Management Software now.
