I think the new SMART Response 2 will be helpful. We only have set of clickers in our school. I think more teachers will be able to use this if they feel that the students can use other devices. Unfortunately we are not a 1:1 school yet. We are limited on iPads and Kindles, so that may be a factor.

I like the games, the new themes and I would like you incorporate sound when they´re cheering. It´s really better than the old one version. Good job.

Comment for Games: Like the basketball, pirates OK, didn't see a new one is super sort. Can't wait to see what's coming.

I like the quick simplicity for a short formative assessment at the end of a lesson, but I still like to use the old version for a more comprehensive check at the beginning of a unit or an end of the unit. Still like the summary found in Teacher Tools.

I like the ability to link with the Lab & Response, this makesthe clasees more collaborative and interactive, but a big disadvantage have math teachers is to editing the equations and algebraic expressions with both ( Lab& Response) .
Moreover, high school and university students often think certain images of Smart Lab are very childish. -

I would have loved to try it, but 16.1 crashes on startup

love that I can add pictures to the questions, just might become a smart response user.

I found response 2 easy to use and that I was able to import lists that I had already created for LAB Activities.

Always great with new themes. I am not a big Response-user and will probably not be one either.

I love the new themes. I was expecting some type of sound when the people were cheering. But other than that the graphics were great!

I downloaded 16.1 and have been trying it out. Here are a few comments and a few problems.
Using a PC and Windows 10.1. In 16: Love the new pull tab. And that old dice were automatically replaced.
2. Like the idea of the new response system but had major problems with it.
a. Tried an old SMART Response test (multiple choice). Answers appeared but the question did not. *Incomplete question, edit activity to complete. Also tried a new sample quiz and saved as a list and had the same thing happen. Tried a few old response files and sometimes the questions did appear.
Going back to the old file, I found that the questions had totally disappeared. So I have answers but no questions which means I have to redo work from scratch.
b. Tried an opinion question and it did not allow me any place to put in a response and just marked it wrong. Tried an old response file and it did allow me to enter a response.
c. major problem since I teach math and use Math tools or the Equation option in Word.
*d. major pet peeve. That “Good Job” after submitting work. I did a sample quiz of 3 questions.
Got 1 right, missed 1 and did not submit answer to an opinion question (because it wouldn’t let me). This was not a good job. Please Get rid of it or give an option. Believe strongly that teaching demands honest praise. Also I teach older students (high school and community college) and they often find this babyish.
e. miss the SMART Response ability to give attendance for the class. Found it extremely useful. -

I love the new SMART response 2. Being able to pull the activities from class lab was easy.

I liked the activities, but I could not get the sound to work on the Basketball game or the Pirate activity.

I have lots of quizzes prepared in the older version, you can import them somehow? The new solution is nice, but I would hate to come on earlier work, which we have devoted so much time. Thank you.

Oops - I just realized these new themes must not have any sound, as my other themes with sound, such as rock band, are working just fine. The confusing part is that there is a sound icon in the basketball and pirate themes which imply sound.

The new basketball and pirate themes are great, but for some reason, I wasn't able to hear the sound with them even when the volume on my computer was turned on. I didn't notice pirates in Super Sort as advertised, but I did find pirates in rank order. It's great to see new themes continually added for variety. Thanks!
