It would enable the teacher to customize a photo background (e.g. a photo of the class), then label each student. Then attendance or other class tracking can be done simply by clicking on the label. While many SMART tools are more directed to younger audience, this one could easily be used right through high school. Please expand pinned tags to 40!

My district is getting Catalina for the next school year. I desperately need to keep Notebook in my classroom. Please, please, please comple
My entire district is using Mac computers. However, the district is upgrading to the Catalina OS for the next school year. I desperately need to keep Notebook in my classroom; creating new, and using existing files. Please, please, please complete any required updates so that my students can benefit from the greatness that is Smart Notebook while running Catalina OS.

I want the ability to hyperlink text within a sentence.
We can hyperlink objects and an entire text box. But if I create a sentence, I would like the ability to hyperlink a key word in that sentence. This is how we see writing online. This is for Notebook 19, not 18.

Also, powerpoint doesn't import videos into Smart Notebook. If a video from Powerpoint can't be imported into Smart Notebook when importing Powerpoint, the powerpoint import is not functional. Fix it completely or remove it.
Add version Notebook 19.0 to the above list as latest. The feature request is now up to version 19. Thanks again.

Download for usage without internet connection
I've been using smartsuite to create activities and assessments for my students. We don't have reliable internet connection in my school and it's tough relying on lessons that won't work. My suggestion is to enable smartsuite online activities to be downloaded to smart notebook.

Add a "preview" feature to LAB activities.

Handwriting recognition for Text Pen - Other Language
Can you enable the same functionality in Text Pen that you have in "recognize" where when you write a foreign word it can convert accents/symbols?

Sorting - keep items visible
I teach special education, and sorting is a very important activity for my students. I need an activity where the students can see the sorted items after they have been sorted. Memory and attention are huge issues for them, so in order to learn from the sorted materials they need to be able to see the examples from the earlier part of the exercise.
