Highlighter is opaque in Geometer's Sketchpad app
When you use the highlighter pen in Sketchpad, the ink that comes out is solid and it obscures the content you're trying to highlight.
Highlighter ink should be transparent so you can see what's underneath it.

The problem is in Sketchpad, no workaround is possible from our end.

After investigation, this appears to be a problem in Geometer's Sketchpad. Sketchpad includes built-in support for SMART Ink, but it doesn't properly respect the value for ink opacity Ink broadcasts when the highlighter is selected. The problem is unfortunately in Sketchpad.
