Finger Touch IQ 3.7
Hey SMART,
We are wondering when the beta version of the finger touch option. That is currently available on the IQ 3.7 Beta channel. If that is going to launch officially soon or going to be removed?

The magic pen
Cool that the magic pen can be used to spotlight something this easily! :) I also love the different stamps that can be used on more things now!
I have experienced a few times with the preview version that SMART ink has stopped working all of a sudden, but then I have picked up the pen again and then it has worked.4 votes -

Capture
I love the new camera feature IN Ink! But I'm missing one thing: I would love to decide whether I'm sending the picture to a new Notebook site or to the current one, as I could before. Or am I just not seeing this possibility?
3 votesThe Capture dialog now offers more options for sending screenshots to Notebook. If Notebook is running, look in “Do something else…” if you don’t see the option you want at the top level. Thank you for the feedback!

Desktop writing
Today I tried to write on the desktop with the official 3.1 version - but no window appeared. I tried it on several boards (at a tradeshow), but it never worked.

Crushing down
the official Ink 3.1 version crushed down in the newest Notebook version. It's always crushing down when I wanted to open the "colour circle" in SMART Ink.

Toolbar in front
The toolbar is not always in front - so sometimes I have to close/minimize some windows to get to the pens...

Enhanced pen status for Windows
When selecting special stroke attributes like dashed lines or end arrows, show the stroke in the middle of the Ink toolbar with these properties.

Crushing down
SMART Ink worked perfectly for some days, but since yesterday it won't start anymore in school. I didn't see the icon at my private computer, but I guess that's because it's not linked to a board? Just a few minutes before I got this report:

Shape Recognition Pen
I chose the Shape Recognition Pen as my favorite pen and it is not working on my board. I have attached a snip of the file.

480 Board
I'm using a 480 Board and try the new Ink... but I'm not sure how it gets started? I just saw it one time and I have no idea how I opened it, then I could use it as I should be able to. But when I started my computer the next time, Ink was gone... it's the same on my notebook at home... I don

Customizable Pen Settings for SMART Ink
I like to use a white pen when inking over video frames. The function works great, but the default Smart Ink pens don't let me have a white pen, only the Notebook tools lets me change them.
I would like to have the pen settings available even when Notebook isn't open. I realize that they appear as an option if NB is open in the background, but if I forget to open NB, or don't need it, I'd still like to be able to customize the pens.
Maybe this is what you meant about being able to pin favorite pens,…

Flick to dock doesn't work correctly
When I flick the ball to the left side of the board, it automatically docks. When I flick it to the right, it hits a wall and stops about 2 inches from the edge. I can then touch the ball and drag it the rest of the way to dock. It does it consistently when a Notebook file is open, a browser, the desktop.
I tried moving my tabs in Notebook to the left and it still behaves the same way. I usually have those on the right.

Add support for inking with touch outside of Notebook
Unless you're working on a touch-only board, Ink 3.1 doesn't support inking with touch outside of applications that explicitly offer that as a selectable mode. For instance, you can ink with touch in Notebook, but not on a browser.
Add support for an additional menu to allow for inking with touch.

Favorite pens
Add the ability to store and quickly select favorite pen styles.

Make the collapsed Ink menu a bit smaller.
The ball that anchors the Ink menu is a little on the big side when the menu is closed. Make the ball about 60% of its current size when the menu is closed.

Collapse the Ink menu after a selection is made
The default behavior for the Ink menu should be to close after a selection is made. A push pin affordance should be added to hold the menu open in the event a user wants to return frequently and not lose their place.

Ability to dock the Ink menu when it's open
When I drag the open menu to the side, it would be nice to be able to dock it without closing it first.
