    Hi Brian. Yes, SMART response 2 and all SMART lab activities will work. When we release next month, you will also be able to create these activities directly in SLS Online.

    What system are you on (Macbook Pro, Air etc…)
    What are your display scaling settings (System Preferences -> Displays -> Display -> Resolution)
    Are you connected to an external display and how (HDMI, VGA dongle…)

    Thanks Ron! Indeed...optimizing for high resolution looks like some lower resolution items cropped up.

    Please uninstall the beta version and install the full version of SMART Notebook 17.0 from here: https://education.smarttech.com/products/notebook/download.

    Hey Rob,

    The quick list of changes for the limited version of SMART Notebook 17.0 is:
    - Read only access to SMART lab activities
    - Read only access to SMART response 2 activities
    - Read only access to SMART add-ons (SMART Blocks, YouTube add-on, Image search, concept mapping, lesson recorder)
    - Unable to change screen view to full-screen

    Hello. This is a known issue with this beta release. Unfortunately, there isn't a simple fix so we recommend downloading the previous version you had installed. To download a previous version of SMART Notebook please go here https://education.smarttech.com/products/notebook/download. Underneath "Step 1 - Enter your key", you'll find a button that says: "Or: Click to choose a specific version of Notebook without entering a key". Click the version you previously had and download.

    Later this month, we'll have the full release of SMART Notebook 17.0. You will no longer see this issue as it has been fixed. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Please feel free to send me a direct email if you have additional comments, concerns or questions. My email is davepark@smarttech.com.

    Hi Nicole - this is probably due to proxy settings on the computer. Your IT admin may be able to help with that.

    Here's a workaround: Download and install these two files:
    http://downloads01.smarttech.com/software/education_wrapper/smart_lat/2.0.7.0/smartlessonactivitytoolkit.msi
    http://downloads01.smarttech.com/software/education_wrapper/smart_efe/2.0.2.0/smartgalleryessentials.msi

    Then try to run the Notebook 17 installer again -- it should work.

    Hey Amy! We're making improvements to the startup time and you should notice a difference in the full release of SMART Notebook 17.0 later this month :)

    Can you provide some additional information? In particular:
    1. What "thing" needed to be downloaded from Windows webpage?
    2. Do you know what is complaining about the lack of "mfc120u.dll"
    3. What tab are you closing that says "install mfc120u.dll"?

    If you can share any screen shots, that will be very helpful.
