In Notebook 22 and earlier, the "Export PDF" actually opened a Printer window. Because of that, we moved the print functionality to the Print menu option. Export turned into a pure "turn this file into a PDF" without the ability to target specific pages. We've received a LOT of feedback about losing that feature, but I suspect users don't know that they can still do it under Print. I want to make sure that the functionality under Print meets teachers' needs. Would anyone be willing to try the Print option in Notebook 23 and confirm whether it performs how you want?

My sincerest apologies for not updating you all after the December Notebook release. The 16:9 aspect ratio created some unique challenges, and we needed more time to complete the rebuild of dual-page view. This feature will be included in SMART Notebook 24.0, scheduled for release at the end of May 2024.

Because of the aspect ratio, there is gray letterboxing above and below the canvas. For this release, the user will need to manually extend the page to fill the entire screen with canvas. We are working to automate this capability for our 24.1 update later in the year.

I updated to Notebook 23 and now there isn't a dual page button. My team in junior high uses this on a weekly basis to display the entire week's assignments similar to how their planner looks on their desk. We use this feature weekly and many times more than once in a week. They have to sort something into a sort chart and the list of words is on one screen, while the chart is on the adjacent. When taking notes if I have a few students too far behind I will use dual screen so they can catch up. If a page gets too long for them to see it (it scales down) you can pull examples to a second page and dual page will allow the students to see all the examples at once. We use this feature. Please put dual page back.
