I would love the ability to add questions and interactive elements directly to videos in Lumio, similar to Nearpod. Teachers could choose specific timestamps where a video automatically pauses and asks students to respond before continuing.
Helpful options would include:
Multiple-choice, true/false, and open-ended questions.
Reflection prompts, polls, and “stop and think” checkpoints.
Text notes or images to highlight vocabulary and explain important concepts.
Immediate feedback or explanations after students answer.
The ability to replay a video segment before responding.
A teacher dashboard showing student responses, progress, and completion.
Ideally, this would work with both YouTube videos and uploaded videos, in teacher-led and student-paced lessons.
As an online teacher, I would use this feature to check understanding throughout a video and make independent assignments more engaging. It would also help me identify students who need support while keeping the video, questions, and responses together in Lumio instead of having students switch between platforms.
