Wifi setup using NFC
Many educational centers use WPA2 and each user has to enter their credentials to access the Internet.
It would be very practical to be able to use NFC cards to configure the connection to the WiFi, in addition to logging in to the Smartboard.1 voteThank you for this idea. This is currently under review for the next generation of displays with NFC capability.

SMART Mirror for iPadOS
Make a version of SMART Mirror APP for iPadOS. Looks unprofessional or unsafe to use the other versions. You only have it for the iPhone or iPods...

Vietnamese7 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThank you for the feedback. Language support is generally added based on sales volume. We don’t currently have support for right to left languages, so Hebrew would be difficult to add. Keep an eye on this suggestion to see if circumstances change.

Display usage Time in hours/minutes
Most commercial Displays and Projectors keep a usage/hour counter. This is vital for asset management and return on investment metrics.
I.e. for establishing how often the screen is actually utilised by end users.
Can we please access this feature from the remote management4 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedAs a modular appliance in the OPS slot, the iQ system doesn’t have integration at the level required to do this type of reporting.
This will be considered on future panels that integrate SMART iQ and the display scaler.

Kapp App/Whiteboard Support-Chromebooks
Chromebooks need to be supported by the Kapp app.
Currently the only way for our teachers to initiate a Whiteboard sharing session is by downloading and launching the app on their personal phones. When they download the app on their Chromebooks, it gets stuck on "connecting" after scanning the QR code. Smart support confirmed there is currently no support for Chromebooks/ChromeOS.
4 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedWe’re working on a better whiteboard experience that can share directly through the cloud without needing another device.
Our Workspaces activity that’s currently available in SMART Learning Suite Online uses this new sharing capability now – for information on that, check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6Of4Sc9bNA
We’ll assess the need to bring the kapp mobile app to Chrome OS later this summer.

Freezing the whiteboard to current screen
Our teachers have requested to have a feature where they can freeze the whiteboard to the current state rather than it being movable with hand to the next white board empty space. The idea is to give the ability to the user to freeze the current whiteboard state so that users can write only on that white board and then if need be, unfreeze it to move to the next empty state. Currently it just moves and at times when teachers are writing it just moves randomly.
7 votesWe are working on a new whiteboard experience that features a canvas that could be zoomed all the way out to lock it from panning. Stay tuned for something to come into the beta channel in October.

How to work with the module in class, logging in hiding content on my screen for students
This is more of a question for the developers! If the module/Smartboard is the only computer in the classroom, how does the teacher get access to her or his content in the safest and quickest way? I'm also wondering how the teacher should work the module while take attendence in class or if he or she wants to hide the content of the screen for the students.
2 votesWe’re starting to plan a Screen Shade feature now. Thanks for the idea!
