YouTube Viewing Options for Teacher-Paced Lessons
Currently when presenting a teacher-paced lesson, students are able to start an embedded YouTube video instantly on their devices. There is no way for the teacher to control when students are able to start the video which often causes a lot of disruption within the class. Sometimes teachers want to play a YouTube video for the whole class to view together. It would be extremely helpful if teachers could play a YouTube video where students see the video in sync on their devices - OR - where the teacher could at least be able to click the option for students…

Add calming music to the timer as an option
I would like a feature where either there is a predetermined set of a few options of calming music to play while the timer runs OR a way to link music from YouTube, etc. to run while the timer runs :)

Instructional Audio within Lumio Games
EX: saying a word on a flip out card, or a specific card for sorting/matching. This would be super beneficial for lower level learners, or students learning English

Magic Pen
I would LOVE to see the Magic Pen on Whiteboard. More and more teachers are signing into the board and delivering their lessons through Whiteboard/Lumio but they miss Magic Pen. How great would it be to have the benefits of Magic Pen? Disappearing Ink, Spotlight, and Zoom!
43 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThanks for your feedback. We are interested in supporting the benefits of Magic Pen. How would you expect this tool to work on student devices when the teacher uses it on the board?

Restrict students from changing their names in Lumio.
Allow teachers to restrict students from changing their names when logging into Lumio.
Ex: Students continue to change their names to something inappropriate and then respond with inappropriate messages in Lumio activities. Teachers then have difficulty tracing which student this is tied to so it would be helpful for teachers to restrict students from changing their names.41 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThank you for making us aware of this issue. We are looking at ways to help teachers better identify signed in students and hold them accountable.

Allow Immersive Reader language to be set for multiple pages
Currently Immersive Reader is reset for every single page. It would be nice to change the language or other settings just once, then have it applied to every single page in the Lumio lesson after that. That way the kids don't have to set it for every single page and waste valuable instruction time.
39 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThanks for your feedback. We'll investigate how Immersive Reader settings can be persisted.

Timers (not widgets) for Whiteboard/Lumio lessons
I would like to be able to embed a timer (or multiple timers) on a Whiteboard page, which I can then start independently (each timer). I like using multiple timers (widgets) to drive instruction, but I have to pull each timer widget onto the Whiteboard each time.

Handout Folder with all student handouts
Is it possible to have a Handout Folder in Lumio of all the students' work not just in the individual lessons themselves?

Teachers should have the ability to save their question banks created in Lumio so that they can be reused for other games / activities.

Allow sorts with more than 2 topics
I would love a sort with more than 2 topics. I just made a Lumio over 4 similar science terms. I wish we could sort into 4!

Keep Groupings in Lumio Lessons
When you are adding a group activity to a Lumio lesson, it creates groups. If you create another group activity later on in the lesson, it does not save the groups from earlier in the lesson. It would be great to have a choice--keep same groups from before or create new groupings!
43 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThanks for your feedback. We will explore how to make it easier to reuse existing groups or create groups ahead of time.

Download fonts!
I would love to be able to download any fonts on Lumio, so that my fonts on my Powerpoints that I import, are added in. For example, my PowerPoints have NSW Print fonts which are imperative for teaching Stage 1 students. This font does not carry across when I use Lumio.
88 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThank you for your feedback. We are looking into adding support for more fonts in Lumio including ones that do not use the "computer a".

Screen cover
When I used SmartNotebook, I could put a screen cover into my slides so that I revealed more information as we worked through the slide as a class. When I upload my files to Lumio, that screen cover is removed and I don't see an option to add it back in.
60 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThanks for your feedback. We will look at how screen shade can be applied to instruction in Lumio. As a workaround for slowly revealing content, a foreground shape can be used as a manual screen shade for now.

Ability to crop photos in Lumio.
It would be helpful if I could crop photos or add transparency to backgrounds, instead of having to edit from Notebook and uploading.

Leaving teacher feedback on Individual Handouts and Group Activities
Right now, if a teacher wants to leave feedback on a student handout, they can write anywhere on the slide. The student can move or delete the feedback, so when the teacher comes back to the slide they don't remember what feedback they left, if the feedback was addressed, or if the student just deleted it without reading it. To keep student work from getting too crowded with feedback and responses, is there a way to leave the feedback off to the side and allow students to indicate that they saw the feedback?

Open more than one doc at a time
It would be helpful to be able to have more than one Lumio doc open at a time. With Smart Notebook I could get ready for the whole day in the morning. That's not possible with Lumio because only one doc at a time can be open.

more integrated apps
AP testing currently allows TI calculators (not desmos).
Using a TI-84 emulator, I have to leave the presentation to show how to use the calculator. This info cannot then be broadcast/shared with student screens.2 votesunder review · AdminSMART Technologies Product Management (Product Manager, SMART Technologies) respondedThanks for the feedback.
