Ability to set the default line thickness on pens This is something that is requested in every edition - it was added as a SMART setting for the boards with different pens but the MX series or the 24 version of SMART notebook still does not have any user customizable settings for default pen line width. We still have to click pen, line size dropdown, smallest option, EVERY TIME we change colors. It's infuriating!

Bring back one-dimensional stretching of images Until the latest update, it was possible to stretch images in SMART Notebook horizontally or vertically only, but this ability disappeared in the new version. I've used horizontal image stretching for years, to illustrate how the unique tissue which lines the urinary bladder distorts without tearing as the bladder distends and empties in my A&P I lectures. I'm sure that one-dimensional stretching has applications for other courses' visual demonstrations too. Any chance that such a one-way-only resizing option can be restored? Losing it kind of spoiled one of my best tricks with my Anatomy I displays.

Fix the problems Dear Support Team,
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the latest version of Smart Notebook, which has been causing significant disruptions in my workflow. After using the software for six years, I have never encountered such persistent issues, and I am now reconsidering whether to continue my subscription.

Extend page function misaligns Please fix the pen alignment problems when extending a page.
Overall, this software is at its most glitchy and buggy that it's ever been.
When trying to complete a handwriting lesson, using a Smart dedicated lined handwriting paper background, when I extend the page, it messes up the alignment of the pen, so what was once written nicely on the line, is now floating in the air!
This is just one of many glitchy problems. Are your software engineers looking at all these bugs?

Copying and pasting formatting issues When you copy and paste an image, you use to be able to grab the item by selecting it from the bottom right corner and resize it anyway you like. With this version, you can only make it bigger or smaller. In 22, you could stretch or shorten the image in any direction. You can do this now with shapes that you create , but you cannot do it with images that you paste from somewhere else. This feature was crucial when trying to fit certain images in specific spaces. Please bring this back, thank you.

Bring Back SMART Exchange When I went to go to exchange.smarttech.com to download a notebook file on the website it takes me straight to Lumio by SMART for some reason. When I went to download a smart notebook file on my computer that option is not there, there is only a upload to lumio icon. Please bring back the feature that allows you to download files as SMART Notebook Files on your computer, and SMART Exchange.

Zoom Feature on a File Page The zoom feature in SMART Notebook is currently quite unintuitive and difficult to use in the classroom.
Default Zoom Level: The default zoom setting is at 230%, which is intended to fill a SMART Board screen. However, this level limits the zoom range, as the maximum zoom is only 300%, meaning you can only magnify content an additional 30%. This limited zoom range doesn’t offer the flexibility needed in a classroom setting, where a larger range would be more helpful. Right click to get previous files Get a recent files list when right-clicking on the SMART Notebook icon in the taskbar while using SMART Notebook 24.

It turns out this was a feature of Windows, and they have since removed that feature. We do not have the ability to add it back in.

it would be EXTREMELY nice if smartnotebook 24 could still play nice with mathtype like v22 did. In Notebook 22.0, I used to be able to drag and drop math expressions from Math Type. I'm not sure why this doesn't work anymore with version 24. I would pay money for this functionality to return if possible, as the built in equation editor is just not as robust as the one in mathtype software.

Ability to Lock Infinite Cloner In previous versions, when you used infinite cloner on an object, the object would automatically be locked. This was incredibly useful when creating patterns with students. They could pull the object being cloned and then I could clear the page without losing the object doing the cloning. While infinite cloner is available in N24 as soon as you clear the board, you lose the object you had doing the infinite cloning.

Größenänderung von Objekten Durch Ziehen am Anfasser kann man die Größe eines Objektes ändern. Für Formen ist das in Version 22 nur proportional möglich, in Version 24 nur frei. Jeweils unabhängig vom Drücken der Shift-Taste! Grafiken lassen sich nur proportional skalieren.
Es wäre sinnvoll, das Verhalten zu vereinheitlichen:

Transparent Background Mode - Pedagogical Practices Please add Transparent Background Mode back into SB24. We have developed our teaching pedagogy and learned to stack windows in a certain order with SMART Notebook software on top to utilize this feature. This feature was helpful and built into our teaching practices.

Install/update SmartNotebook with Winget package manager Hello,
I managed to get the application installation working via Microsoft Intune, however I would really appreciate it if you could try to publish the SmartNotebook in Winget package manager https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/package-manager/winget/. It would make my job very easy, as at the moment I have to do the updates on the end stations manually and as the application takes a very long time to install/update, it is not an efficient way.
I manage multiple elementary schools and there are a lot of computers with your application on them.

math tools Please include the math tools in newer versions. I don't understand why they are no longer included. The last version with math tools was 22. These tools are why I continue to use this software. It is frustrating/time consuming to have to open everything first in the new version and then using VIEW in open in the older version (with the math tools).
